From One Product to More of Indonesia.

It began in 2021 with a simple question:
how could we create more value from Indonesia's agriculture and bring it to the world?

In 2021, during the pandemic, three members of one family travelled across Java and saw more closely the everyday realities behind farming communities. That journey led us to coconut sugar and our first collaboration with 148 farmers.

Through GULAPA, those first partnerships have grown into a network of nearly 1,800 farmers. Along the way, we learned that bringing a product to the global market requires more than a good ingredient. It takes close relationships at origin, thoughtful processing, consistent quality, and a clear understanding of what international partners need.

But coconut sugar also opened our eyes to a bigger opportunity. Indonesia has many agricultural products with the potential to become thoughtfully developed ingredients and finished foods for the world.

That belief led us beyond a single ingredient. With KAYARA, we brought bananas, coconut oil, and coconut sugar together to create our organic banana chips, transforming three simple ingredients into a finished product that carries the same connection to Indonesia's agricultural roots.
